My name is Glynn Bebee. I live in Ithaca, NY. My life mission is to learn and teach subjects and projects that prepare us for anything the future can throw at us. Unfortunately, we have a long way to go. To stay focused, I prioritize everything in my life according to the broad categories of Water, Food, Shelter, Energy, Transportation and Community.
I use each category to help define worthwhile projects that I consider fun hobbies. In a very tight basement workshop I conduct experiments with materials related to water storage and filtration, plants and hydroponics, woodworking, fabrics and sewing, composite construction, lightweight and affordable shelter, reliable and green transportation, waste re-manufacturing, energy systems and renewables, and so on.
2009
During 2009 my income is progressively shifting to a model of self-employment. Initially this process involves a mixture of the core capabilities already in place in my home office and workshop space and existing from my experience with architectural design and documentation, green building and renewable energy systems. Though the entire list of projects generated in 2008 still apply, early 2009 will include an immediate focus on the revised, summarized list below. These projects were selected because they promise a quick generation of revenue to support other sustainability projects in this calendar year.
